I started this journal to take tentative steps back into the fandom/fanfiction waters. As I've slowly acclimated, I've found myself wanting to use it more; in other words, watch this space.
I'm in my mid-thirties, and I have been involved in fandom of some sort since 1999. I was a prolific fanfiction writer up until about 2007, when the fandoms I'd been involved in died or self-destructed in wank, and I moved on. I missed the creativity and the community of fandom, however, and as I've started to nurture an interest in video games - namely the Final Fantasy games - I've again sought out fandom to augment my experiences.
My favorite Final Fantasy games are X, X-2, XII and XIII. I especially think X-2 and XII are underrated, particularly because they have such great potential as universes. Absolute favorite pairings are Auron/Yuna, Basch/Ashe, and Snow/Lightning.
I've recently become interested in Fullmetal Alchemist. We'll see where that goes.
